Maybe I should not of brought it up on this thread...sorry if that is the case, just a thought you may want to consider it.

Had the toyota dealership fully flush the transmission fluid at 105k miles. Tranny shifts a lot better now. I'd recommend everyone do it. It cost $273 dollars. But people not changing fluid is usually what causes transmission deaths. Other than bone headed abuse, of course. It wears out just like oil and needs to be changed. The interval is just a lot longer.

They help with fuel mileage as well because the car doesn't need to work as hard to do the same amount of work. Get a good injector cleaner, stick with the Iridium plugs, and check out the Royal Purple transmission fluid to help with that. Those are my recommendations. Take them as you want.

This would be one of the first vehicles I've seen that actually benefits from a CAI. I'm not saying I don't believe it, but that the bottleneck is usually somewhere else first. Which one has all the correct holes and such for the MAF and a good air filter? I don't want to downgrade to a lesser filter size. Which company has put the most thought into their CAI?
I would have liked to have been able to use Royal purple tranny fluid, but the dealership probably wouldn't go for it. Also I'm a little scared of their fluids besides just base oils, because of my mustang. I have a 95 GT that I take good care of, and Royal purple claimed their power steering fluid can be used in any pump of any kind. My mustang about had a stroke when I put that stuff in the PS pump. The whine from the pump was enough to make me pretty sure I'd killed it, but it lived with some lucas oil treatment and the RP fluid drained out. After that, I don't really trust their "U can uze this on anythng!!!" claims. I called them and told them and they sent me a free box of RP sprays.
