When you say "notch", what is suppose to be notched to avoid damage to what?

When it comes down to the running though do i need to go aftermarket with the ecu? Or is the stock one viable?
Eyeing up an exhaust system atm |

Prius pistons will require a piggyback otherwise you are throwing money out the door.

When I built my last motor I bought a Prius Piston from a Prius C 13.4:1cr just to see how it compared to the Yaris parts.
You don't need to notch the piston, but there are a few thing you up running into. The intake cam will go from being a non interference part to a interference part, so you'll be limited to the cams you can run, and its very likely you'll need to run 93+ octane fuel.
