Fumes/burning smell through air vents ?

The water temperature light flashes briefly on start up and noticed this symbol turned red then disappeared. Checked the coolant level and its all topped up fine. any ideas anyone ? :)

Welcome to the board and congrats on your Yaris. Take care of it and it's gonna take great care of you. Members here with 300-500k miles. Bullet proof, minus an occasional water pump and some say a clutch or two.
