alternator will not charge

CT how does one check these fusible links? Can one do visual? OR does one use an ohm meter?

If you pop the red cover off you can see them through their little windows. You really have to look closely, as it can be hard to see them from the correct angle to verify they are not blown.

For the alternator one, measuring the voltage on the large wire that connects to the alternator (with the grey plastic cover over the nut). With the engine off you should see battery voltage on that wire. If you do not, then the fusible link between the battery and alternator is blown and the alternator's output will not feed to the battery with the engine running.
