Correct me if I'm wrong, but these numbers are horrendous. I see more Corolla S's on a drive to the corner store than dealerships are selling Yaris' every month. It makes me put more stock into the rumblings I've read here about the Yaris potentially going the way of the Echo in a few yrs. Am I off base?

Well, all the dealerships have is leftover Yaris inventory from earlier in the year, and the 2016 model is still nowhere to be seen in the USA. You can't sell what you don't have and/or only stock pathetic token amounts of.

There is no reason why the Yaris cannot sell like the Nissan Versa does here, especially since the Yaris is a better car, but Toyota simply doesn't care about the segment any more in the USA - except to give token lip service.

It boggles my mind how many horrible latest-gen Corollas I see on the road every day, considering how cut-rate and cheap-looking they appear (at least to me). I can't even begin to list all the little details about that car that I hate.

I'll admit I think the current corolla looks better than it has in recent years, but the yawn factor is off the charts.

It's a shame Toyota America does virtually nothing to promote such a great little car.

As for the Corolla, I bought my father a 2015 Corolla L... and I think the car is outstanding in so many ways. If only it were a hatchback. Plus, with rebates and discounts it cost less than a new Yaris L.
