After typing my VIN on the website from your last post it says footwell light are not applicable(?)
http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_E_201...FNKW_8121.html I don't understand how it works when my car is pre-wired for footwell lights but they are not applicable? This is where the confusion is coming from I've managed to get footwell lights only after I've noticed them in my friends 2015 Yaris Hybrid so by giving his registration number to the dealer I was able to place an order. I am not sure Gagi if the glove box light has the same part number as the footwell lights. As you said in the post before, your Yaris (and probably my firends too) is pre-wired/ready only for footwell lights so I think using the part number you provided we can get only a set of footwell lights only. Taking your word on board I am not going to give up make us 100% sure whether my model has the black connector for glove box light or not. I'm going to do some work on my car next weekend (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2522411108...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) so I will also take a good look at it. |

![]() .Thing is, if you bought car without footwell lights, they in theory are not applicable (like car bought without cruise control, it works when you install stalk, or it works always, you just need switch to turn it on, but still not applicable). Dealers have catalogs, and if your VIN shows NO, they just won't bother with that. On the other hand, at the production line it would be time consuming to worry about different cablings for hundreds of submodels. This is why you have many unused connectors in car. So back to the dealer. You need to provide part number from catalogue instead of VIN if you are planning to retrofit something. If they ask why do you need that, simply answer that Toyota needs more of your money. Before I bought footwell LED's, I tested connectors with multimeter, to see how they are going to operate. Only after that I ordered two pieces. If you look carefully in that page of web catalogue, you will notice that you have two types of LED's. One with part number 81080-0D010 that is valid for models made after March 2014, and one with part number 81080-22040 for vehicles made from 02/2012 until 01/2014. Both parts are for footwell lights and for glove box. Also image of each LED corresponds to exact fitting position in vehicle in comparison to instrument panel image.
