Yes on everything but the acetone. I tried acetone consistently for about 5 tanks on my 98' 4-runner. I thought I noticed an increase in MPG, although minor, so I put it in my wifes 04' 4 Runner too. To make a long story short, this is when we began having problems with the 04' 4-Runner. A possible blown head gasket, diagnosed several times, at 27,000 miles, but no confirmation from my dealer who seemingly likes to play games, and we traded it in. The 98' never had any adverse effects but I quit using acetone in it also. Now I have the Yaris and my wife has a 06' Civic. Coincidence with the Acetone? I don't know, but we get good enough mileage not to test it again on our new cars. I'm not a gambler. If you want to try it, do your research first so you do it correct. There are a couple really good articles on the internet about it.

ok next question...spark plugs and spark plug wires? know any good brands? i know of NKG spark plugs but I'm not too sure of the wires.

Spark plug wires are one of those mods you probably don't need on a mostly stock car. Things like spark plug wires, spark plugs (which are already iridium in our cars), made a big difference on older cars, but don't do much for new cars. Ignition systems and fuel systems on new cars such as ours are very well made and have little room for improvment. Unless they are old and need replacement, or you are running forced induction I would save your money. Do synthetic oil, an air intake, a scangauge II and maintain your tire pressures, and you will be able to acheive greater fuel efficiency.

plugs nowadays are going 110k (platinum/irridium) but I changed mine in my civic @ 50k just to be on the safe side. (call it stupid or irrational but I don't care I take care of my car the way I know I should)
and the only ONLY ONLY additive I will ever add to any of my cars (after they're broken in are LUBE CONTROL PRODUCTS) LUBE CONTROL <<<LINK I used it in my wifes '92 corolla and before she had been getting like 18 mpg about 200 or so mpt and after I put it in her gas, and oil and tranny (2 seperate products) she was getting 21-24 mpg and I was sold hehe.... ^^^thats all I will put in the Yaris once it is broken in... |

I have yet to swap my oil out since it is still new (only 2,700 miles on my car) but I will switch to Mobil 1 later on. I have a Blitz air filter and I still want to get the ScangaugeII once i save enough money. Thanks for all the help/info

Yeah, wait a bit to switch to synthetic. I'm at 16,500 miles and am going to do one more round of valvoline regular. At 20,000 miles I'm jumping up to Mobil 1 and letting it run 5000 miles per change. You don't have to wait that long, I just want to.

I'll probably wait until my 8th oil change probably at 24,000 miles (if it's changed every 3,000 miles) to swap to synthetic unless it's better to swap out earlier.

they say on the website (plus the rep who is/was on 7thgencivic.com) said IIRC that it's better to wait until after the break in period or longer, before using these products...I don't think using them will have any negative or positive effects during break in but why waste them on a car with 600 miles when the true mpg and engine buildup hasn't started yet?
