In that time, aside from general maintenance/tires and a low speed collision repair; I've had to do a little paint work, replace the water pump, alternator and driver side axle seal. Although I don't drive a ton, I think it's been great to me. I still regularly get strangers asking what type of car it is, what kind of mileage it gets and complimenting me on it's looks.

When I eventually do get a new car, I plan to keep my Yaris. It's worth more to me as a reliable extra car than whatever they'd give me in-trade or private sale.

You know, you're not the first person to suggest that, but if I'm honest, I don't like how they make the car look.

I'm the opposite in that regard, though I'm not a fan of the larger rally rear spoilers like I have seen on some.

The L/LE versions of my car without the small OEM hatch spoiler back there look naked (to me) without it.

I have to concede that I think they look good on the 3rd gens. Haven't seen one on a 2nd gen that I liked all that much.
