Do a proper HID projector retrofit. Anything other then a HALOGEN bulb in a housing designed around a HALOGEN filament and the way it produces light is going to be a downgrade and reduces safety for you and other motorist. You basically paying to downgrade the car.

My favorite halogen bulb that I ran in my sedan prior to HID projectors was the Osram Nightbreaker. Powerbulbs.com sells em for a great price and I absolutely loved them.

However nothing beats properly engineered HID projectors with excellent cut off and more even light beam

Sure one can ...but can be a pain in the ass , I have tried hid kit and it was OK but do to our light assembly it was hard to adjust .
Now with the LEDs I have installed it's perfect no cut off just a nice bright area Infront plus fit like a glove with no modifications .
So, so far LED lights are in my opinion best setup with out doing anything extra , only thing I still have to do is to raise them a bit since I have not done any adjustments after running HIDs so the low beam is bit low .
