The first thing checked was whether it was securely fastened, it was and they had used thread lock on the hex socket head fixings too. It was the actual exhaust tailpipe and trim piece vibrating.
Since then I have found that there is a specific dimension determining how far on to the pipe the trim locates. I wondered if, when fitted, this was ignored or whether it is in any way critical?
I've been meaning to refit it myself, use the Toyota specified location measurement and see what happens then!
