True enough. I'm a relaxed (never in a hurry) driver by nature, so I doubt I've ever done 0-60 in less than 12-13 seconds in mine. Sometimes I stretch/wind out the RPMs between 3rd and 4th for the fun of it, but that is about it.

After 7 years driving a turbo diesel Captiva, my 2NZ-FE Yaris felt much quicker off the mark, but it took a while to get used to letting the engine revs climb. Even with the small engine and auto, I get the traction control activating on wet roads.

This is the smallest engine of any car I have ever owned, but I have no problems keeping up with city or highway traffic.

As others have stated above, the Yaris may mot be the fastest accelerating vehicle around, but it sure is great fun to drive. Find a tight, twisty road and see who is "fast" once they are not just going in a straight line.
