Does it happen when you run your AC? Loads of other questions but I'll leave it up to you to figure out now, but you have three main choices to choose from here it seems; the water pump, the ac compressor and the alt. I'm betting on water pump chirping as your bearings in the AC compressor shouldn't have gone bad this quickly. But, given your location they do use a lot of road salt and chemicals. Good luck.
