I've had mine installed for about 2 months or so and have had zero issues in torrential downpours driving behind trucks. That said my intake places my filter just behind/under the left headlight

I've had mine in this location for years driving in flooded Miami. I'm talking water that went up to the bottom of my door. Had a few close calls but never any major issues. I did however cut my down so it's a short ram now. Peace of mind thing...Maybe your MAF went haywire since it's not bolted to the intake? Could have got a leak there.

Whoops forgot to follow up. Yaris is back up and running. Pulled the plugs they were a little wet at the tips I cranked it for 25 seconds and bolted everything back. First start was only cranking. Second start was 2 sputters and some pops. Third start I gave it a ton of gas while it sputtered and she fired right up. Burnt up the water in about a minute with white smoke and a nasty smell then she was ready to roll the next 60 miles with zero issues! She's a trooper!
