Awesome dude. You are right about controling the car with the pedals, once you know how it reacts to certain inputs you can manipulate the car into controled slides.
Regarding the coilovers, they do help a lot in tuning but require regular inspection and corner balancing can be annoying. And at $1000 I would rather have the LSD
