I have a 2002 Yaris with a French engine which had a snapped timing chain, so I sourced a donor engine which was Japanese. Instead of swapping the whole engine out, I decided to just swap the Head as two of valves were bent. The only difference I could see (as you've said) was the Gap between the 3 prongs at the end of the Camshaft and the sensor (which I've guessed)
However, now that its all re-assembled, the engine won't start and it looks like there's no spark to the plugs? I've double checked all the connections and cant see anything obvious, so wondered if the Gap between the prongs and the sensor is to blame? Does anyone know what the gap should be or is there anything else I should be checking? |
