Maybe they're hoping that the corolla hatch will sell better if there is no yaris hatch.

Who here was actually planning to buy a 2019 or newer yaris? I wasn't.

In the GRMM trim, I would have considered it.

Honestly, as cool as the GRMN is at 200hp, if they just made a scaled down model that squeezed out 150hp and keep the weight at 2300lbs, it would be a fun little car. Keep the price at the 2018 level - I'd be interested.

It is awesome, but not worth the price that they sold the original batch in.

If they mass-produced I suppose it could be quite a bit cheaper.

Agree with both of you, and wasn't saying I would have definitely bought one but depending on the numbers, would have considered it.
