My opinion: keep the 0w40 Euro for your Euro car. Run the proper 0w20 on your 2zr, there is absolutely nothing to be gained but running the 0w40 in your 2zr.
Somewhere in my past posts was info about me (incorrectly) running a 5w30 in my 2zr on track due to high coolant and oil temps. 0w20 actually dropped my oil temps (as it should) and I never came close to being outside the specs for oil pressure put out by Toyota. The only way going up in weight makes sense is if you are putting the engine oil outside of it pressure specs. Temp isn't the issue, pressure is and pressure is a product of temp and dependent on the specs of the oil pump. There are many race teams who have dyno'd MOAR POWAAH running 0w20 then on thicker oils. I have spent way too many days reading studies and forums to satisfy my empirical brain to convince me of what oil to run. Spoiler alert: much of what you hear at the track that is old info passed down is no longer relevant with today's oil and is often just outright incorrect...needing to run a thick oil is one of them and needing to drain oil after every track session is another.
