Good news everyone! ( remember future Rama? )

The car dealer called and they found the problem and fixed it. The noise was not a wheel bearing but something to do with the ABS sensor on the right wheel. A new wheel bearing for an F1 50 is five to $600. That wasn’t it. Neither was the ABS module bad it was the sensor on the right front wheel. A relatively cheap fix.

So tomorrow I will go and test drive the truck and put my blue driver scan tool on it. If all goes well I get to get the truck!

It looks like I’m going to have to change the oil filter to a Motorcraft one. The engine is rattling for a few seconds after cold start up. I had this problem with the Subaru years ago. If you used a fram oil filter the engine would rattle on start up. You had to use a real Subaru one.

The engine didn’t rattle at the dealer before they change the oil. I Cold started it twice without the rattle so I’m pretty sure it’s the oil filter. I’ll have to get the truck up on ramps today and see how easy it is to get the filter Off.

Got the oil filter changed at the Sunoco station this morning $10.

I’ll find out tomorrow morning when I start the engine if the rattle goes away.

Now All I have to do is figure out how to get the dipstick out to check the oil level. I’m thinking a stool I can standdown will work.

Nice. I hope it cures the noise. Good luck.

Got the truck back this morning. It seems fine and the heater works much faster now. Hopefully the stop leak wasn’t washed out of whatever it was ceiling. Talk to text ceiling!

The new tires are beautiful!
