OK, I'm 99.9% sure, but just to add that 0.01%...

The filter arrow should be pointing down when install it, right?

The car's manual says the arrows should be pointing up.

Re: "wet" A/C smell

When I went to pick up my car, my dealer told me it's a good idea to leave the air vent open when you're done using the a/c because this allows any liquid in the system to hopefully evaporate and help prevent that mildewy scent from developing in the car. Don't know if it's true, but I figure it can't hurt so I just try to remember to open the vents whenever I'm parking the car somewhere for more than a few minutes.

My guess is there are sum steps to fallow so its better to take to an air conditioning technician
