Convert MMT 6 speeds to manual

Hello everyone,

I’m writing to ask for your help.

My car:

2009 Toyota Yaris, model code NSP90L-CHLGKW, VIN : VNKKH96360A143592
Engine: 1NR-FE, 1.33 VVT-i, 100 hp
Grade: SOL
Transmission: MMT (MultiMode Transmission, automated manual)

Background:
After replacing the clutch, I was unable to complete the calibration/initialization/learning procedure for the MMT. I get error code P0810 and the “N” indicator keeps flashing. I’ve tried several times without success.

I’ve now decided to give up on the MMT and convert the car to a standard manual gearbox. My questions:

1. Is this conversion feasible?
Has anyone here done it, or does anyone know of a build log?

2. Shift lever and retainer
So far I have found the clutch pedal and the clutch master cylinder. However, I can’t find the correct shift lever and retainer assembly. I found this Amayama catalog page:

I’m not sure it is the right assembly for my car. Could someone check it for me and confirm the part numbers? And if they are correct, do you know where I can buy the complete assembly (lever, retainer, cables, etc.)? I’m based in France, so a supplier in Europe would be ideal.

3. Replacing the MMT actuator unit with a cable shift mechanism

I’m not sure how to replace the MMT gear-shift motor/actuator unit with a conventional cable-operated shifter. What is the correct procedure, and which parts do I need to buy for it?

4. ECU and wiring
I assume the ECU needs a different configuration, or some pins need to be bridged or rewired, once the MMT’s TCM is removed. I don’t know how to do this. Does anyone know how to convert the ECU from the MMT setup to a manual gearbox? Do I need a manual-specific ECU, or can the existing one be reconfigured or coded?

Any advice, part numbers or experience would be greatly appreciated.
