I agree... the hatch design is centered around the logo. All the lines meet at the oval, they even offset the oval to accept the emblem, so it's kinda important design element.

I am going get the center badge sprayed black and when it is in, it will give the back of the car more structure as well as putting something in the whole in the middle

I don't like the "debadged" look; I think it looks like a damaged/wrecked car was rebuilt incompletley leaving an unfinished look (To sloppy or hurried to even replace the badges, AKA- cheap fix
