im flying.. so u wont see my car.. but at least i'll be there.. i already got approval on ym vaca days & iv started saving my money now.. im up to like 500 already...still looking for hotels and no minds have been made up where we r all stayin yet...

Someone pick something middle to low end...as close to downtown as we can get without the prices being outrageous.....and we'll just go with it come what may.

I think my vote is still be closer to downtown and have to drive to the meet...rather than be closer to the meet and have to drive downtown...?

double tree is a nice hotel. ill be staying at home though so its all up to you all.

any of the hotels bikegerm recommended are good too if you wanting to be near downtown.

i havent booked anything yet.. have been waiting for word on here before moving forward.... so it sounds like we are leaning toward doubletree.. whos gonna be the first to book it? lol

Checked Doubletree rates. $169 per night for 2 people, $189 per night for 4 people. Once again I assume plus tax, etc. Also appears to only have a parking garage across the street. There is valet parking. Seems they only have double or king beds, no queens. Looks really nice though.

Camelll has a SC in his yaris...and a trophy from the other show we were in...we'll smoke them. =)

OK..someone call the doubletree and see if we can maybe get a block of rooms? Say..2-3 per room..maybe try and get a block of 6. I don't think we have to pay for them right away, it would just mean we would all be on the same floor and near each other...

No, you don't want rooms next to each other. Everyone would know who visited who's room late at night.
