Not trying to start anything but not all rwd owners try to drift king their cars. It could have legitimately been an accident, I'm sure the owner is far more upset than any of us. My baby had a 6 inch bumper scrape and I almost mentally lost it...

After driving the mr2, I can definitely sympathize with the rear-engine 360's, light cars are hard to catch if you aren't 100% on top of them. Either way it looks like the cockpit is still intact and I hope your friend is alright. There's an Elise and an Exige in the autocross region where we compete and all of those owners highly recommend skill events every few months just to stay on top of their cars, losing control at an event can never completely prepare you for real life but every little bit helps.

The Elise is a beautiful machine and a joy to drive, but I still prefer my 100hp ff :)

sorry to be rough , but it gets to me each time i see a beautiful piece of machinery ruined by stupidity and inexperience.
Wow you know this dude too? I thought it was PHXDEMON's friend and here it turns out to be your friend? Shit, small world.

ok bring it down a notch.. regardless of what happened, it still really sucks.. i have a lime green diecast elise at my desk at work.. i love my little car.. i can only imagine how sad/mad the driver must be right now..

pk, sometimes u need to put a filter on ur fingers, honestly.. and as far as what u said about insurance not covering it.. that is false.. it is just considered a solo at fault accident and is charged for it.. at least thats the case here in the us.. idk about y'all n ur government insurance up in canada....

my sympathy for the driver.. that really blows donkey balls.. a few moments of silence for the elise.....

how can they weazel out of it? car is insured.. will either total it or pay to fix it... end of story

sometimes when peoples feelbads are involved u gotta be quiet...empathy my dear friend... in my job i have learned to not always jump to conclusions... machines cannot always be controlled.. sometimes they attack for no reason at all..

end of discussion, please dont take this further.

thank you

I'm not a lawyer but I can smell someone who likes to argue about moot points as much as I do....and Pavel you reek buddy....doesn't really matter how the accident happened...what matters are the three following points:

1. occupants are ok

2. vehicle is totalled

3. when can I have the wheels that weren't damaged?
