Scott has each pair hand matched. The L4s and L8s that were just shipped to the shop are hand matched and given birth sheets...and are a special signature edition. The L1 Pros I have here in Iraq don't have birth sheets...I do have a death sheet for anyone who comes near them without my permission though. I have a nice 30 rounds for that purpose, every other one is a tracer.

-You think I'm not serious either?-

Machined billet aluminum housing, damped rear chamber 25mm tweeters. They've been VERY successful on the competition circuit. Notice the knurled ring on the right side tweeter, it screws off for mounting behind the substrate baffle...very nice for installation. Much more unique than the standard tweeter mounting everyone is used to seeing.

This is the chromed magnet of the 4.6" midrange just last night as the clearcoat was drying. Give me until April or May, when I get back out of this dusthole, more pictures will be up of the continuing build on the Yaris. A couple months after that, ANY Bose system ANY day of the week.

...My inspiration was the smacktalk from Spades on this forum. The insinuation that I didn't know what I was doing with car audio has driven me to some pretty creative heights. Wait 'till you catch a look at the finished product this next summer...for right now, I'm stuck in this hellish dusthole!

Taln,

Here is some information from Scott Buwalda himself:

"Here are parameters:

Revc = 2.9 ohm
Qms = 2.344
Qes = 1.607
Qts = 0.953
Krm = 14.31 u Ohm
Erm = 0.882
Kxm = 12.57 mH
Exm = 0.314
Fs = 595 Hz
Frequency response = Fo - 30,000 Hz +/- 4 dB
Recommended crossover frequency = >1,600 Hz at 24 dB/octave (conservative)
Pnom = 25 watts (AES Standard, no crossover)
Pmax = 50 watts (AES Standard, no crossover)
Pmax (with recommended minimum crososver) = 100 watts
SPL = 91.5 dB at 1 watt/ 1 meter

This will be a limited edition offering. The drivers will come individually matched with a hand-signed certificate of authenticity and hand-matching. The L1 Pro SE will be available in both black anodized and brushed aluminum, both with copper ring radiator phase plug, and the copper bezel at the face of the tweeter.

Frequency repsonse graphs will be forthcoming within the next few weeks upon completion of final production and testing."

I just put a Pioneer AVIC-U310BT in my hatchback and I was amazed at the difference in the sound quality coming from my stock speakers. I am hearing things in songs that I've never heard before. Speakers will be my next upgrade. I figure if the stock set sounds this good, a good set of Infinitys will sound amazing, plus I want to add some tweeters.
