That being said, I hope to stick with Toyota as long as they make good, reliable cars and I wouldn't consider trading my Yaris for a Fiesta til I see what Toyota brings out as the next gen Yaris in a couple of years time.. Or (here's hoping) the iQ comes to Australia. Quote:

To further prove my point about Ford's unprecedented turnaround, here's J.D.'s new 2010 quality study. Although I certainly place more importance on long term reliability, this study still carries weight and just goes to show where Ford is today. Yup, between Lexus and Honda! Lexus has topped this study more than any other nameplate. Toyota plunged way down to #20 near Chrysler! No doubt though, in response to Toyota's recent recall woes. People probably tried to look for problems with all the hype around. |

Haven't driven the Fiesta yet, but Ford does seem to be showing signs of not sucking.
They just killed Mercury. That's a start. Put that old geezer bullsh!t out of its misery. The new Fusion and Taurus actually look decent too. The Focus is still complete trash, but maybe the Fiesta will take some of its market share if it's any good. Looks good on paper, and has some of that European pedigree that might make it better than some of the domestic ATTEMPTS at small cars.

Ford is one of the Automakers that is doing things right, in my opinion. They are the only domestic car I would consider buying.
If I hadn't bought a Yaris, Ford or Honda would have been candidates. But at the time Toyota had a few of things Honda and Ford didn't have. The best price 0% for 5 years (Free Car Loan) Free one year maintenance I'm all about the "Free"

The Fiesta is a great little car; I'm sure the reliability will be very good, too. This should prove to be a very popular car for Ford.
