If someone went outside of insurance that means they more than likely got a used transmission not rebuilt.

Also, can we sue carfax for not reporting the truth? Am I supposed to report this accident to carfax? |

I just learned that Carfax has a autobuy back system meaning if carfax did not report the accident in their document you can get your money back %110
Had I known this, I would have purchased Autofax at the time of sale and I could get my money back now, but dealer did not tell me |

we got a car due to using CARFAX and it showed it had a good history . Come to find out the car was in a wreck . Someone noticed overspray after we bought it . The car came from a car rental company . Many times these are repaired by their own shop . CARFAX is far from perfect . We once test drove a new 2001 PRIZM that had hit a deer when drove by a car sales person on his way home . The dent was in the front fender . This CHEVY dealership had its own body shop . Quite sure they repaired it and never made the buyer of that car aware .
