Not just in America, in other countries as well (including Japan). Sometimes though if a certain body style is liked so much, they will continue using it for several years even though there is a newer style of the same car out (i.e. Nissan B13 Sentra (91-94) was kept in Mexico until '98. Even though the Nissan S13 fastback bodystyle was discontinued here in the U.S. after '94 (240SX fastback), it continued in Japan until '98 because the sales were good and the bodystyle was liked so much.

Steve, I thought we went over this... don't make me slap you.

The only car ahead of the Yaris from the 2007 model year when it comes to aftermarket support is the Fit. I promise you you'd have a harder time finding parts for the Versa, 3, or anything else than you would a Yaris. Fit owners have it made because its a Honduh, but still, this community actually has done pretty well since I came around.

And don't be too pissed about the Versa getting a turbo... that same company has a Yaris kit, too. If you want it so damn bad, why don't you PM ZPI and buy the thing?!

That Versa sedan looks pretty blah to me. It's like a downsized Sentra... Nissan has, overall, one of my favorite design vocabularies of any manufacturer working today -- the Altima, Maxima, and Titan are all excellent designs for their class -- but their two low end sedans are very bland.

I am a nissan guy an i did not have any interest in either. The sedan is actually news to me. Nissan had the chance to do somethign great with this car and it looks like a half finished product. There has also been a bunch of problems with it. Ive got at least a dozen nissan buddies who have them and had them in for power locks, windows, non starting and a blown motor.

A properly made Versa SE-R looking like that concept would be a very interesting car, especially if based on an SR20...

one can always dream!

Stock Versas are kinda dull and ugly. But like almost any car out there, just mod it a little and it starts looking better:

here's a decent looking one spotted on car domain.

Plus, the Fit has been around for how long??? I know it was released here in 2003, probably a year before that in Japan... Mazda3 has been out a while too, though not as long. Yaris and Versa are still considered quite new, even though it's been in Japan for a while now, I think we are lucky we can get as many bits and bobs as we can now, and it's only going to get better
