I checked at the Toyota site under specifications of the '11 >'14 and the '12 is the only one that states 5w-20 . Makes me think it was an error which should be 5w-30 .

yes u can i live in Trinidad and Tobago with a similar climate to Panama and all mechs here recommend it..i run it in my 2007 model yaris sedan.
