Bring along a 3'x2.5'x3.5' box and open the passanger front door and see if you can get it into the car, trying first the two door and then the 4 door...

When I bought my ECHO in 2000 I loved the car at first sight but couldnt believe it wasnt availible in a hatchback. I figured it wouldnt be good for carrying things.
With the two large doors and pass thru trunk it was quite handy...
