Yeah, aside from full coverage my insurance co. won't depreciate the value of the car for the 1st 2 years. Considering the car won't be paid off for at least three or four...

Well here in New Mexico i would have to say a fair amount of the pop dont have insurance at all... If i can afford to i will do full coverage but if not i will def get uninsured motorist. Im waiting on my tax refund so once i get that ill prob just pay for as much full cov as possible. Im currently dealing with an insurance company of the girl who pulled out infront of me (totalling my 98 escort) so that makes me realize how nice it would be to have full cov on a new car.

I bought the 3 dr in black on June 1. I am paying about $41/month Comp and collision - $500 deductible on collision.

Now I know that a 4/5-door car enjoys lower insurance cost than a coupe. In other words, the extra doors will pay for themselves eventually. Too bad I did not know about that when I ordered my car.

My insurance went down $200 a year for the Yaris, from a Corolla, for high coverage and low deductibles. I'm in the insurance business if anyone living in California wants a quote, pm me.

dude i cant believe people are paying so little. Its virtually impossible to get rates like that on new cars in NY (at least in the city adn surrounding burbs). Im paying 650 for 6 months premium- full coverage 500 ded.

$160 a month with $500 deductables. That's not bad considering my "less-than-perfect" record.

a big part of insurance rate is the AREA you live in...high traffic, vehicle vandalism/theft rate, your driving record, how many vehicles you insure under one insurance plan, and even your credit score will determine your monthly insurance rate. if you are high risk for credit..expect to pay out the wazoo even with a good driving record.

i have 6 vehicles insured, live in the suburbs of austin (low crime/theft), i have a perfect driving records for 10+ years, and very good credit..so $63 a month was about right..

my agent actually quoted me $3 more a month for the sedan! probably because its actually worth more...54$ to $57 ain't gonna dent the wallet anyways.
