I have to vehemently disagree on this, but to each his own sense of style. The 3 does look odd from some angles, but many cars do that. Overall it has a great sense of balance and fluidity; hard to do on a car of that size. The current design 'language' works well on a smaller scale. And the dash and controls just look wonderful, which score big points in my book. Yaris dash and controls are just.....*sigh*

Didn't notice until you mentioned the different plastic design of the grille on the LE and SE models. I'd say the LE plastic looks a bit better because it's not such a busy design in an already way too big grille! A license plate breaks up the grille work so it doesn't seem quite so overwhelming.

Watched the first two 2015 Yaris LE's being dropped at the local Toyota dealership yesterday afternoon. Both had automatic transmissions and alloys with a window of almost $18K! Yikes, every 2014.5 Camry LE on the lot is currently priced at only $18745 (and under $18K if you're military or a recent college grad).

Anyway, I think the new grille work looks even more grotesque in person. But, I like the new rear lenses.

Yeah, I would have to get a 2015 black SE (manual), just to tone down that front-end a bit for my tastes (including the "teardrop" fog-light housings). My first choice is still a 2009-2011 Yaris sedan or hatchback with manual transmission and crank windows, in white or black, or possibly gray, silver, or pacific blue.
