Put it half step, between foot and foot+windshield, it will turn off AC.
Although, foot setting will still send plenty air to the windshield, at least on my sedan. Sent from my CLT-L04 using Tapatalk |

This is correct and what I use most of the winter. According to the repair manual this will also direct a fair amount of air to the windshield as you stated
