It'll probably look better on a dark coloured car than one of the lighter-coloured cars. The rubber strip would probably be quite obvious in the gap between the bumper and bonnet.

Hey Rockland, u mentioned the camry part could prolly be trimmed. Is that rubber flexible enough to bend to the shape of the Yaris hood where it would put? Did I DIY thread get started for this yet? How much and where to get that camry part so we can do this also if we don't have access to an old nissan layin around...

I did a search for the rubbeer seal for the cowl to hood and the following is the part number: 53383B SEAL, HOOD TO COWL TOP
53383-52050 NCP91 1 $16.28. Is this the part you are referring to, Klink10? I found the info at www.toyodiy.com My car is a 2007 5 door Canadian RS so the part number may vary but check this site out and enter your car info.

that seal is not as sturdy. you will need more clips to hold it in position.

Kou,

What Nissan did you borrow the seal from. Hopefully you remember this since the part number is not on the tip of your tongue.

Awesome, thanks for getting this info for us, maybe you could do a DIY of the one you did so we can see where you drilled and how you managed to bend it to match the curves of the car
