Since I just got my black '09 Yaris LB this past Friday and became a member of YW the same night, I suppose I still qualify for this thread post-hack.

SO...once again...here's a pic of my ride as it waited in the pickup bay at the dealership:

Hurray for Black Liftbacks, welcome to the dark side! Glad you didn't go for Yellow Jolt (a.k.a. Omelet Vomit!) The only thing that stinks about black is the fact that it shows dirt so quickly... a small price to pay IMHO.

So you have any plans for adding stuff, customizing, accesorizing, etc?

LOL! Omelet Vomit!
Yeah, I ordered a red one, but this was the 1st manual trans to hit the area w/ the options I wanted so I took it, and I'm glad I did!! As for the dirt showing, well...this is coming from having a white Cavalier for 6 years, and parking outside, so this'll be a welcome switch from what dirtied up that.

As far as accessories, I'm probably going to upgrade the headlights and tail lights eventually, but I'll have to adjust the budget to having car payments again before I start upgrading anything.

My guess would be cost?

The real question is why don't we have a ball bearing dipstick?

Hey! It's all ball bearings nowadays. Now you prepare that Fetzer valve with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads. And I'm gonna need 'bout ten quarts of anti-freeze, preferably Prestone. No, no make that Quaker State.

Cannot you see oily line better on the plastic?? Metal is too cold and acid bothersome. My Papa says to me polymer engineer they say hih heat poly-esther as good as steel with nickel for dimensional stability!

Now I am free I Like the 88~ bansafaji stick~88

Just rejoined. These hackers are sad people. We should drag them for a few miles behind a yaris on a dirt road.

I joined a few days ago, after picking up my brnad new 08 hatchback last Saturday...

I've got about 185 miles on it so far, and I've added a chrome exhaust tip and some door guard strips. The aspect I love most is the auxillary jack for my Zune, it is cool to listen to my playlists or podcasts on the way to work!

Cheers! M2

Hi all. I just bought a bare-bones 2-door Yaris Hatchback - manual windows, lock, mirrors, no radio (but I have an antenna?), etc.
Just joined because I'm looking on some info about this car. Have a good day :)

You more than likely have the "audio prep package"--I think all of the cars going to the US have this. In other words, you have all the wiring & speakers you need for a radio--you just have to throw a radio in.
