Just because I have the ability to buy something doesn't mean I'm going to do it. Cars are utilitarian things to me. Spending a lot of money on one just seems stupid to me. I can think of 1,000 other things I'd rather spend my money on.

Nissan Sentra
-the look of the car is just kind of dated to me. I much prefer the Altima and Maxima but those are way out of my price range.

Honda Civic
-I don't know why but I've just never liked Civics and buying a 2 yr old Civic wasn't really saving me much money while a brand new one is out of my price range. Car is also a little larger than what I'm looking for.

Toyota Corolla
-I was really on the verge of buying a brand new 2006 Corolla when it was going to take 2+ months to get a Yaris and I was buying from a dealer my sister-in-law works for so I could get the car similarly priced with some better features. However, I see around 50 Corollas whenever I drive. Even more than I see Civics probably. There was just nothing "special" though I think I would have been happy with the car.

Mazda3
-I really like this car but it's just a bit out of my price range.

Hyundai Elentra
-The one with a hatch is a neat looking car, you can get them for pretty cheap even brand new, but it doesn't have very good mpg. I don't like the Accent at all.

Once I saw the Yaris ad on Edmunds, I really started looking at that. Also looked at the other new econo cars but I just didn't care for the Fit or Versa and Dodge's supposed econo car (Calibur). Also thought about getting a Scion xA for a bit. Something about the Yaris just really appealed to me. It has a very distinct look for both the exterior and interior. Also think it was a good transition to sedans from my old coupe Escort ZX2.

Ferrari, Porche, M3, S4..... but in the end, the Yaris fit better with my budget.

My fathers ZZperformance 3800 S/C buick regal GS will wipe the smile off most GT owners faces. Runs 12's

I was more interested in the GT but it was the style/looks of the car that drew my attention. FWIW the 350Z was not as fast or as powerful as I expected it to be, but MAN what a sweet handling fun ride

Forcefeed it... the VQ series responds very well to forced induction...
For a real rush, build a JGTC engine, VQ30DETT, take a RWD VQ30DET, put the 35 induction parts on it then give it twin turbos... the original units made close to 500hp on race fuel, plus the VQ30 revs higher and easier than the VQ35, and mounts lower and closer to the firewall for better weight distribution

Myself, I would love an Infiniti M45... I just want to see what that V8 can do, especially Impul's stroked 5.1 Liter version.
