How do I swap out the center caps? |

I'd imagine you can pop them out when they are not on the car by just pushing them out from the back.
I, however, have had no luck with the dealerships being able to find the right center caps, even though some YW guys have had much better luck.

I did some checking around Northern Minnesota but couldn't come close to the price Yaristeve mentions. So I took the plunge and ordered mine from the eBay seller. Should arrive next week and I'm looking forward to the change. The caps were easy, my dealer had a set on hand for $12.
Now to mount the TPMS and tires. |

My spoke rims showed up on Wednesday and I had them mounted on Thursday. Local tire dealer Pull the tires off the steelies and moved the TPMS sensors to the alloy wheels. $50 for the job and had it done in 35 minutes. My Toyota caps haven't shown up yet so I just put on the Scion caps for now.
I'm happy! |

They look great! $50 was very reasonable for the swap.

I agree! They whipped through it in record time and even wiped everything off before putting the car down off the lift. (very professional) My dealer quoted me $165 to do the swap so I told them I'd pass. (it's a Yaris, not an Avalon!)
Being too impatient to wait for the Toyota centercaps, I installed the Scion ones that came with the wheels. Thought I could just pop them off with the new ones arrived but that was a bit optimistic, they won't budge and the Toyota version arrived today. Guess they'll have to stay on for the winter cause I'm not taking the wheels off to change them! |

Hey! I just wanted to send my 'thanks' to AUXMIKE for the link to these rims on eBay too! You helped me find a great set of rims for a reasonable price. Thank you!

Do these have the same offset as our 15" steelies? The wheels look nice, and the price certainly is hard to beat. Thanks! -Wolfy Last edited by wolfywho; 09-29-2011 at 09:41 PM. |

Wolfy,
I meant to say they fit snug on the hub and don't wobbel around. Some aftermarket rims require centering rings that sit inside the center hole of the rims properly. These are a perfect, secure fit. No rubbing at all to report after a year. I'm running stock sized tires too.The finish looks great still and I only clean them with soap and water, no chemicals.Don't be spooked by the 6 inch width, it's trivial and these are designed by Toyota for a proper, safe fitment to the car.

They do look good on the car though... too bad they don't come in a 16x6.5!

![]() Not that that's the wheels' fault. Chalk it up to lovely northeastern weather. Some grease will be applied next spring when I put them back on... But like auxmike said, they're great!

I was thinking of going a little wider than the stock size of 185 on the tires. Maybe 195 or 205. How much of a loss in gas mileage will I see with a wider tire? Will the ride comfort be better with a wider tire? Also, how wide could you go before interferring with a TRD shock/strut/spring upgrade?

Anyone know the weight of these wheels, compared to our steelies?
