You gave up on the meet because two or so people didn't agree? I'm lost I guess

^ that's BS. How dare you blame everyone else.

I gave up when you wouldn't consider my choice, a huge meet that is already going to happen anyway. Didn't even include it in the vote, after several people said they liked the idea. Whatever!

Mods can close then?

Why are you saying that it was not consider? When I posted saying sure let's put it up there but I didn't know how to added to the poll, I did say that.

And its not all but when you see that the last option is dragging the rest of the options, hopes kinda goes down the drain. I asked is it even worth having 5to 10 people drive a good amount of hours if others arent willing to go?

You tell me.

We can still make it happen.

dude if you really want to do this you need to be the one cheer leading everything. Doing this type of stuff is not easy, it is not something that just takes a little effort. There is a reason promoters make a ton of money, this stuff is hard as heck to do. You need to be the one pushing and pushing and trying and being positive. If you aren't positive about it, don't expect anyone else to be.

you know whats the difference? They get paid for that and I don't .

@ frownonfun thats is why I wanted to make this happen separate this IA meet form it just for us YW members, that was my main goal but looking at the poll like i said hopes goes down but I do still want this to happen even if we end up doing it in IA

well i haven't given up. we got St. Louis and San Antonio leading the poll as actual locations so I say we have a run off between those now. Or in a few more days. No rush I guess. Just sayin we can start narrowing it down now. Not every person on the forum is gonna show up but that's obvious. Doesn't matter where we have it. Oh well. You can't win em all.

EDIT: also Garm I totally see where you are coming from on the Nashville thing but nothing is stopping YW members from showing up there if they want. if it's a big event it's likely to draw many of us out and that's good. but i don't see anything wrong with trying to have a separate meet from that one. right? and i'm pretty sure jumpman did openly ask if a mod could add it as a choice.

There is still 6 months left until it's "Go time" for this meet if you want to do it in June - no functions are ever organized that quickly.

Yes, we have some people who bitch because they would have to drive more than 20 minutes - but outside of there, there are plenty of us who are taking this serious and want to do a meet.

Keep up the planning and keep up the organizing. Even if only 8 of us show up, we will still have an awesome time. Then next year it will get bigger, and the year after that, etc.

And I am not up for having a YW meet at IA, personally.

I'm all in for STL. Or Texas even. Really, I'd drive anywhere as long as it wasn't to the West Coast.

If you aren't interested in attending the meet then just unsubscribe. It's really that simple. No reason to close the thread.

I wonder if we could take a spin out at Gateway Raceway if we had a meet here in St. Louis... since NASCAR isn't using it anymore, I think it could use some love.

That'd be sweet but I think it's completely closed. Think they are trying to sell it off. If someone knows how to get in touch with the track owners I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. But I think it's a long shot.

But that gets me thinking, I'm pretty sure Texas Motor Speedway has days where you can bring your car and drive on the track. I'm sure other tracks might have similar accommodations. Even if you aren't big into NASCAR, driving on a high speed track sounds pretty fun.

EDIT: Then again it doesn't even really have to be a NASCAR track. I know there are all kinds of smaller, independent tracks all over the place and maybe it'd be easier to get an event together at one of those.

Actually there is NOT freedom of speech on a privately owned forum, and you sir are out of line.

I don't either, best of luck with it. Like I said before, he decided not to include it as a choice in the first place, it doesn't matter now -- but it means I'm out to focus on IA. I'll stay out of this one now, I don't want to be causing any tension (if I did, I'm sorry).

St Louis, Missouri the gateway to the west.
I know I am a noobie, but I will be willing to take a drive up there, I always wanted to take ride up the Gateway arch, take a look at the local parks museums, they got some night life too, oh and casinos I believe. Plus that location is in the center of US. but have to have someone in that area, meeting in a 7/11 parking lot can become boring.
