that was basically the first and only snow fall we have gotten this year and i had to have some fun.

as for tire pressure i checked it the other day and it was at about 25, so i topped it up and put it to 35.

Check your previous service records.

A to-do item in every service is 'Examine tires for damage and wear, check & adjust pressure. Rotate tires if needed.'

Since I assume you are following Toyota recommended maintenance schedules, chances are your tires have been rotated, even though you claim you've not done it yourself.

i have seen it say check tires for wear and pressure but the other day when i finally checked it myself i could tell it hasnt been checked since i got my car.

but u are correct they may have been rotated. i will check my records they may have been rotated before

I have the bridgestone insignias on mine (were on there when I bought the car) and I hope they wear out fast because they have the worst traction in rain than any other tire I've ever driven on. You can't go past half throttle in the rain at all or you'll loose traction. I'm actually thinking about buying new tires even though mine are at 7/32's.

I have BFG All terrain and from a dead stop in the rain I can spin them easy. I stopped on a hill last week and actually got the front end sideways. The 5 speed will spin without trying. I believe it has more to do with the light weight of the car rather than the tires.

Nobody in there right mind would invest in replacement Goodyear LS's.
Start studying the alternatives. None could be any more useless.

so i removed my tires to put on my winters and i took this pictures of the rear wheel. the front wheels were worn fairly evenly (a tiny bit more of the inner wheels but nothing drastic) as for the rears, the outter edges of the wheels were used drastically more then the inner edge. i dont know exactly what this meas but it was so bad they wouldnt stand up straight on there own.

The EAGLE LS from the 2010 3 door are down to 8/32s ( used for rear ) and 6/32s ( used for front ) at around 10,000 miles of use since bought new in mid January , 2010 . This includes use of snowtires for the past 2 winters . The snow tires were installed the day we picked it up new in mid JANUARY 2010 until about mid April and then snows installed again mid Novemeber 2010 . They EAGLES LS take place of the snows in a day or so . They were also rotated once . That's not so good for tread life . They start at 10/32's .

to sum up the my original issue, the rear tires on my car definatly had a huge toe-in. it was significant enough that if u looked from the rear of the car u could tell the rear tires were toed in.


this toe was definatly caused by lowering the car the amount i did. i noticed with the stock suspension back in for the winter the toe-in look was gone and my winter tires showed no unusual wear patterns.

i lowered the car a little more this year then last year and doing the rear suspension mod seemed to have fixed the rear toe-in issue. the new rims and tires i have mounted show no unusual wear as of yet and there is no toe-in look.
