yeah.. i woke up kinda hungover today
I miss driving boosted cars, and my 30 mpg average on the last few gas fill-ups in the Yaris is a sure sign of that. I haven't had a performance car on the street in some time..sold my JDM Aristo V300 TT, sold my civic hatch, and i've taken my only 2 running 240SX's off the street for track-only duty (which, btw, is few and far between these days partially cuz I've been getting hammered on weeknights! )

and, no, I haven't seen many Yarii on the road. one sighting of a red liftback..that's it.

Ive still only seen two yarii on teh road. Both sedans. A pretty jade green (which may have been teh sport) and a silver one (which i didnt like).

Im sure there are other liftbacks around but i just havent seen em... and i still turn enough heads to believe that their really isnt that many around over here.

Im pretty sure its still difficult to find them at the nearest dealerships.

I kinda like it this way. Leave all teh attention to me! Mwahaha!

My wife and I drove across state last weekend and all the rednecks in the small towns we stopped in had a field day with the car. They couldn't believe that we could fit 2 dogs luggage and a cooler full of beer in the back.

The funniest was when we stopped in for a bite to eat at Hardee's. About three people came up to the car as we arrived for breakfast. The remarks ranged from "Well gaw lee.... Ya'll got one of dem' lil' future cars don'tcha? " to "Damn. That darn thing ain't' gonna be nothin' more than a bump in da road for my pickup truck! Ya'll gotta death wish or somethin'?"

-Ahhh... I just love North Carolina and its local wildlife.

I saw a red 5 door down here in Richmond, VA. It had Quebec tags.

I looked through my rear veiw mirror a week ago and saw this smaller thinner looking car behind me. I couldnt figure out what it was. I slowed to let it get alot closer and realized it was a yaris hatchback just like mine. I started waving to the people but I don't think they caught on.

Here in Toronto, I'm on the road most of the day and usually see close to 20 per day. Most of them being 5dr liftbacks. I'm no-longer paying attention to them since they've become such a common occurrence. Even so, I'm still getting a lot of potential buyers questioning me about the car.

I was in Hawaii last week on a 3 week stay. In all that time, I only saw one red 3dr liftback in Ohau and a Sedan in Maui. Also saw 4 Fit and tons of xA and XB's.

Hi all,

One time me, wife and child was travelling down Hoxton Park Rd in Sydney and saw another Yaris sedan..... when we stopped at the lights, they started honking and waving to us.... so we waved back... giving each other the thumbs up....

Must be because we're so happy to save money on fuel.... he he

They're becoming increasingly popular here, but then Toyotas are probably the most popular cars here, one reason being they are manufactured in the country and there are no import taxes on them

Anyway, even on a short 2km drive I might cross one or two Yarii... most of them stock though. The light blueish-grey color seems the most popular from what I see!

For the longest time I had not seen any yarises. I finally saw my first about a month ago and one about 2 weeks ago. This week I have seen 3! Two sedans and one liftback. It makes me anxious to get mine. I want it before the snow comes!

Yup, sedans and liftbacks are still a rare sight in hawaii, at least on oahu anyways. Along with mine, i've only seen one bayou LB and two sedans. The dealer has a month waiting list, and last I saw, there were some on the lot to be picked up, so I dont know where all the new yaris' are haha.

I was just taking a look at your Yaris, looks nice, it makes me want to go out and give mine a wash (The last time I cleaned it was 10,000km ago).

I was also in Kauai for 5days in Poipu, but drove around the island twice and didn't see any Yaris.

On Oahu I usually see Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Aston Martins, racing all over the island... not a sign of a Yaris though.

Oh wait... that's a video game
