Complaining about the car has become a big part of my online identity, I must admit... But mostly I was just answering the question, "What coin holders/compartments?" Glad you're content with so many compartments with so few practical applications; wasted space drives me bonkers!

My comments to Outterhere are in red. Outterhere...since you have so many complaints, did you road test and really check over the Yaris before you purchased it? Hard to believe you bought a car you do not like.

Compartments: two in front of air vents for cups; not so brilliant, since cups will block air.
Actually, they work quite well where located. In winter, heat is on and keeps my coffee warm and in summer, AC keeps drinks cool. They work well in the placement.

One in center console too shallow for anything. My little toy raccoon mascot lives there. Cup holder so far back between seat you have to contort or take eyes off road to use.
That cup holder you refer to far back and between the seats is for a person sitting in the back seat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bottle holders right where you want to keep your maps (driver's side) and other reading material (newspaper/book for road trip passenger on the other side); don't try to put a cup there because the little graphic tells you NO cup; YES bottle!
Great for a bottle of water

Finally, two little triangular compartments where, if you put money, it will disappear forever down inside the Yaris. Not right shape for a cell phone.
Large enough to put cell phone there or small items.

Not sure what people do with these; I ended up decorating with a pretty pine cone and spruce sprig for winter. Maybe a robin's nest for spring... Ideas???
Interior decorating is not my thing....but it might be interesting to see how you decorate your interior. Did you decorate your Swift also?

I knew I had stayed away form this thread for a reason. I just got bored this morning and dipped in to see what the scoop was.
No surprises here.

Change holders are inside the driver-side flip-up glovebox the Liftbacks have.

One more...

WHAT is that circle which looks like it could be popped out to be a hole on the left (as you look at the car head-on) of the bumper?

Maybe you need to go back and read your manual.

I always seem to lose my change out of it though. It makes for a very bad change holder.

Are you sure that's not the string you pull to make it go?

obviously I'd do that. If that times comes, I will...

But these things "disappoint" me in a Toyota; I've always been a Japanese car fan and only very reluctant ventured into Nissan and Suzuki territory in the past -- not disappointed with either of these, by the way -- because I was so pro-Toyota. So the overall cheap feel and these nagging little imperfections are just a constant irritation.

Like a dripping faucet; you're not going to put the house on the market or even necessarily pay a plumber $100 to come fix it, but it still grates on your nerves.

...drip...drip...drip...
I can't imagine being your significant other. If this is any indicator, I'd be ready to strangle you after the first date.

That's because you forgot to choose the 'S' trim option.

Mine has cannons mounted on both sides and a gang plank that comes out the back.
You have to ask for the secret options and know the special code for getting them otherwise you just get a grab bag of options or, none at all.

As far as the coin holder goes, I just fill it up with quarters. My sunglasses, breathmints, a pen and, a dagger are in that compartment too.

No, but... Am I supposed to pay another $1000 to have a TOW ROPE inserted into that hole? Seriously... Is this because I can plan on having to HAVE it towed??? Hope not...

But I might be willing to pay a little to have my car LOWERED, although I resent having to; my elderly mother practically needs a stepladder to get into the passenger seat. How does one go about lowering the Yaris? Thx...
