lightweight alternator

Has anyone looked into shaving a couple pounds by replacing the stock alternator with a lightweight one? Any clue as to how much the stock weighs? I've found a couple 80-120 amp models that weigh in at about 11-12 lbs. I'm looking into finding some weight savings in less thought about areas, alternator, electric wp etc. I think garm and another fellow have gone down the electric water pump route already. Any other novel ideas of shedding some weight from the yaris short of dieting, swiss cheesing the frame, and the like?
