Picked up new (to me) Yaris yesterday !
Hi all!
Just picked up my new Yaris yesterday. It is an '07 with 19k miles, MT and looks like it is brand new. Me likey ! I think the first thing I'll do is tilt the seat back with a spacer to give more leg support- better seating angle. At 6'4", I need this. Funny to see other people here have done that, as I have done that with two other vehicles. I'm also considering adding power locks and windows, but I will wait on that, as it is easy to reach over and unlock and unroll the other side. I do miss have keyless remote, however. Then, I have to loose those hub caps. Anyone have any experience with the MB wheels 5X wheels? They are pretty cheap at my local Discount Tire, but I do not know how they will hold up. |

What's it run to add an alarm? I was thinking that might be a good investment.

Well, this was at the dealership, remember. It was close to $450 to install the alarm AND the actuator together (the actuator apparently enables keyless entry and locks the door automatically). Unfortuantely, I was asleep when I signed the last of the paperwork and didn't realize they weren't going to put an actuator on each door so only the driver's door is equipped with that. The alarm, though, is supposed to work if you open any door or the trunk.

Welcome. Not sure if you got a service record with the car. If you didn't I would change the oil at 20,000 miles. There is plenty of advice on this forum on what oil to use.
