Engine Air Filter
I am in desperate need of help.
I took out my air filter and don't remember how it goes in. There is one square edged corner, anybody know where that goes? Current i have it in the top left corner when looking at the air filter from the front of the car. |

without looking at it, i can't tell you how it goes... but toyota was kinda smart with this type of thing, and it should only go in one way... so my thinking is, if it fits and the housing can be latched, then it should be in correct... might need someone to verify...

If you're standing in front of the airfilter box the square edge goes in the left far corner of the box. The the cover should easily come down and slip into place letting you close the clips. Took me a few times to figure out Toyota made an odd edge so it only really fits one way correctly-but I have managed to screw it up anyway. If it's the factory filther there is an arrow printed on an edge of the filter, too. The arrow should point to the front of the car.

thank you UTVitz
I replaced my engine air filter for the first time tonight.
I was so excited to get the thing out I didn't bother to look at the orientation before pulling it. It looks like it can only go in one way but you never know. I'm still a little paranoid that I didn't squeeze it in there properly but I'm glad to know that it's at least facing the right direction hehehe Yarisworld is the bomb dizzle
