No Filter & Some Water
So I was driving in this horrible storm on my way home from work and noticed some water poured out from under my glove box. I hope it was just from the rain and not a clogged ac vent. It wont cost me anything to fix but I'm lazy. So I took out my glove box to check to see if I could find the source of the water and how bad it was. I went to check my air filter and to my surprise I didn't have one. Is this normal and I'm loosing my mind or are our cars suppose to come stock with an air filter? I guess I'll find out tomorrow when I get to work, but I'm really curious to know.

for the past week i've notice when im running my AC water has been dripping from behind the passenger side, so it might be form the AC, i was trying to find the source with no luck. well keep up posted on the cause, and yes our cars do not come with filters.

lol, that's weird about the no filter thing. I guess I'll just buy some filters online, that's so annoying. Good luck with your water dripping out, normally it's just something being plugged up. I see it all the time at the dealership, or sometimes it's just from a lot of condensation depending on the temp outside.

Well I just ordered 2 air filters from http://www.logical-source.com/2009-T...HATCHBACK.html it was about 10.64 per filter and it's cheaper the more you order but $10.64 is better than $18 ( the price I pay as an employee at a Toyota dealership)

I figured out where the water was coming from I must have been sitting in a puddle and, with my lowered car, it collected water in the splash gaurd and then came through the washer fluid hose hole. Here are the pics:

The water is not from the ac drain tube, put air pressure to the drain and no water came out, even opened the drain from the inside and no water came out. I'm 99% certain its from flash flooding with a lowered car and water creeping through the rear wiper hose plug in the firewall.

so this problem happened again today but luckily my glove box was out so I saw where it is coming from. It's either water draining in through a vent o from my window that was recently put in. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm going crazy.
so I am going to remove the front pass pillar and the front garnish by the wipers and hopefully that will give me an idea

I win, I figured out where it's coming from. The stupid seal of the front windshield by the driver side is not really sealed.
