any R/C enthusiasts out there

I want to buy a new r/c car ( I have had nitro's in the past) but there are so many choices now. I'm sticking with with traxxas because they are waterproof and I am really liking the 1/16 scale e revo or a 1/16 scale summit does anyone have either or any traxxas rc for that matter and how do you like them.

I had a Traxxas Slash (electric powered), I ran locally the Short Course races. The Slash is the TONKA, never broke anything, but it didn't perform as well as other in the category.

It was a hell of a basher

I have a HP Racing 1/8 scale rc truck, gas powered, 4.1. My fiance has a HP Racing 1/8 scale rc truck, gas powered, 4.6.

We havn't used them in awhile, mainly due to constantly working, either at work or around the house fixing it up.

Lets see, I have a Slash, a Jammin X1-CRT, MRC sbv2 pro, Losi lst2, and even and old losi jrx T. Oh yeah and 2 helicopters! I have learned, over the years, how to break just about anything! LOL But the Slash and the LST2 are definitely the toughest

No it isnt, although I have enough extra goodies in my garage to make it brushless any time. I run it at an indoor track in the stock slash class, so it has to have to brushed motor. The brushless are identical except for the motor/esc. Very quick and reliable system. Would be a tough and quick. There are other short course trucks that are faster in stock form than a Slash but there are NONE as tough.

Im running a Slash 4x4 with the brushless Velineon it came with and its very tough. Only downside is the axle stubs always seem to bend.

I have the Traxxas Revo 2.5(upgraded chassis and engine to 3.3). Havent ran a race with it yet, since the local hobbyshop only does Electric. But pretty fun offroad, there pretty tough to break, but even if you do there are some good low cost upgrades that make it even tougher to hurt. Also into Nitro Boats.

IMO, if you are looking for a really fun basher, i would go with the brushless slash. I have seen them run and just like everyone else is saying, they are strong. And there is a ton of available power. Depending on how much money you want to sink in, you could always do what i did and convert a brushless E-revo to an E-Slayer. I haven't had a single issue with broken parts. Traxxas is definitely known for their reliability.

I have a Traxxas Sledgehammer, it's an older truck and not one of the super high end ones. It's great for rougher courses and whatnot.

Atta boy, Derick, now I don't feel so lonely! Been building and flying for 65 years now, only got into radio 40 years ago. Impressive sailplane; we got into F3B competition for a few years, ended up with an airplane coming off the winch at 200mph. At that point, we all quit and went back to Gentle Lady and Oly11s...
