Rusty's TV and Movie Car Museum pics ....
So this weekend fnkngrv made his way up to my neck o' the woods in Jackson, TN for a visit and to kill some time on the rainy miserable Saturday, we went and checked out a new museum that a local guy named Rusty just opened up. He was a private auto collector of original movie/tv cars and reproduction movie/tv cars and recently opened the doors to a pretty rockin' little museum.
Here are some pictures that Adrian snapped while we were in there - I only had my camera phone, so thankfully he came prepared! I would also like to add that Paul Walker actually sat in the Eclipse <3 <3 <3 Erm ... if you want some of the descriptions of the vehicles, you'll have to wait until Adrian can get on here and comment about the ones I don't know ... I was clueless about some of them because they were from shows/movies I've never seen. The actual car from the show 'Mantis' ![]() ![]() The actual vehicle from the movie 'Blankman' ![]() The actual car from the movie 'Norbit' ![]() ![]() Not an actual General Lee - but hey, any General Lee is OK if you're in the south :) ![]() ![]() ![]() Not an actual Batmobile - but it does actually run, he has driven it around town a couple times :) It is tagged here in Madison Co. TN :) ![]() ![]() ![]() The Bat-bike from the original TV series (it is signed and everything - pretty cool! ![]() ![]() A reproduction Mystery Machine that Rusty had made ![]() I can't remember if this is a repro of the car from the movie 'Death Proof' or not ... I want to say it is - but I can't remember 100% ![]() ![]() The actual bug from Herbie A Delorian ... not from any movie, it's just really cool - and it was one of the first ones because it still has the gas lid opening on the hood and the hood curves in it ![]() ![]() A repro of the Ghostbusters car ![]() One of *the* F&F Eclipse's <3 He even has the title and the CarFax to prove it :D ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A repro of the Starsky and Hutch car ![]() The Blues Brothers car, this is a repro ![]() ![]() The only remaining Mustang from the movie DeathRace, the 2nd one was bought back, used for the 2nd movie then destroyed due to excessive damage - this thing is pure muscle car sex. But, I have a bit of a thing for the Mustang ;) so I may be a bit biased lol ![]() ![]() I just found out like 30 seconds ago that this isn't even a real Lambo ... it's a 89 Fiero GT ... but it's a hell of a replica lol Oh, it's a replica of the Coutach from the Cannonball Run movie ![]() ![]() ![]() This is from some show I think ... I can't remember ... it was well before my TV watching days lol ![]() ![]() Knight Rider!!! (Replica) ![]() ![]() Well kids, that has concluded our tour  Hope you enjoyed the pics!! I have to say it was the best $5 I spent in a long time |

thanks for the pics! brought back some good memories of my personal 'golden age' of television.
it's interesting how some cars are famous just for being in a movie/on tv and others are so iconic they're the first thing you think of when remembering a particular tv show/film(ie. general lee, knight rider, delorian, etc.). the red coyote is from hardcastle and mccormick(i remembered the car, but forgot the title - luckily, the model box of the car is in the passenger seat). made me think of some others that would be neat to see: the van from the a-team face's corvette from a-team ferrari from magnum p.i.(obviously would have to be a replica $$$$) motorcycle from streethawk(kind of like the helicopter from airwolf, but a motocycle) sorry, i'm a child of the 80's and i'm sure there's much more iconic ones out there. still, that's a really cool collection that person has! |
