Personally, I think it will look a bit off. There will be more fender gap. There will be 10.2mm more gap in the fender if you drop down to a 40 series.

The TS stock suspension is already a bit lower than the stock suspension on US version cars. The 205/45's are a very good fitment on the TS. Yes, 205/40's will fit without issue; however, what would be your rationale for going with a shorter tyre?

hey guys thanks for the advice , yeah , its gonna make the fender gap bigger , currently im running a Tein spring kit , attached is a pic of how it sits
my reason for going to 40's is cause it is alot cheaper , the 45's cost R1300 , the 40's cost R700 , thats about half the price .. so thats my thoughts ... mmmm |

Tanabe DF210's that are clamped to be lower than normal. Around 2.3" in front I would say?

ah ok ... i must say , im very hesitant to put on the 40's , 10mm drop is quite a bit on a already tein drop kit

If the 45's are working well with your suspension mods, then I'd stick with that size.

How do you like the Teins? I just ordered a set yesterday plus a TRD sway bar. They say they give 30-35mm drop, would you say that is accurate? 'Cos I just measured the stock gap from my wheel to my arch and I've got 60mm, looks like a monster truck.

FYI, I'm on Tein S-tech springs with Tokico HP shocks, and I love 'em. This is the second set I've had. I had a set of a Scion xB, too. Good overall spring for a nice compromise of ride, drop, and performance.

you gonna love the s-tech ! yeah , its about a 35mm front , 30mm rear , but becuase the TS has a slighly heavier motor setup , it seems a little lower , looks great. it should take it all the way on to the wheels , provided you running the OEM size tires
