Broken oil dipstick
Help! My plastic dipstick has broken off and is sitting 4 inches down inside it's tube. How do I get it out?

My Yaris 2009 has an all metal dipstick. My wife 2005 Camry has a metal dipstick with a 2 inch plastic end to it where the oil level reads.
Is that what yours is? If its under warranty TAKE IT TO THE DEALER! I believe you can pull the dipstick tube right out. Theres an O ring that seals it. With the tube in hand it would be easy to poke the plastic out with a straightened coathanger. Wait for more posts before implementing my advice to pull the tube out! Good luck! Tell us what happens...

The dipstick tube has a metal bracket welded to it that has a single bolt that secures it. Once that bolt is removed the whole thing pulls out. The dipstick will be sticking out of the bottom when you pull it out.
