His vitals say United States so it would be gas. I'd like to see proof of his claimed 62 mpg. From what I've seen in nearly 8 years on here, he would have to be driving down a mountain, with a tail wind, drafting a semi. Breaking 50 mpg is a challenge for us mere mortals.
You also have an A/T my friend. For you the challenge just got 2 mpg harder.

basically you are saying that 60mpg is not reality which, given your experience would have to be right. So I am lucky to get over 50 or have you seen 55 on an auto? |

Best I've done was 46 mpg and change on a 700+ mile trip. Ideal conditions, warm, no traffic, and CC on always.
Actual in the tank readings. I make that trip several times a year, normally when warmer, 42-44, when colder 38-42. |

My best is 56. I have 8 fill ups at 55 or above and my life time average is 50.2 (48,346 miles/961.4 gallons)

I just averaged 51 mpg on a 300+ Hwy trip, standard with a 1.5L. As soon as I get off the highway the miles begin to drop fast! I still do ~40 average most of the time, except in winter.
