Gen2 just slides off. Don't know about Gen3 but can't see it being any different.

Would the gen 3 steering wheel be able to fit on gen 2?

my steering wheel OEM part isnt for sale. need to save all my OEM parts incase i need to sell my car.

yeah it slides off after you loosen a torx nut and a bunch of other nuts. also i think you mean the airbag slides right off.

I've swapped the steering wheel in two of my Yarii. Just rent a steering wheel puller from Autozone and get it done.

Don't need a puller. Put a sacrificial nut on the end but don't tighten it and tug the wheel while hitting the nut with a hammer. Little jostle and wiggle and it'll Come off

dont have an extra nut lying around. i bought the replacement fully assembled minus the bag from japan.
